According how audio industry seems to use the term PMPO ("Peak Music Power Output" or "Peak Momentary Power Output"), in can be anythign from 5 to 10 watts of PMPO that equals one real RMS watt.
I believe the term refers to "PuMPed Output watts.
To measure this, the output of the amplifier is connected via a voltage multiplier to a capacitor
which is allowed to charge. A load is then connected to the capacitor and the instantaneous power measured. This is PMPO watts.
