I have an award BIOS v4.51 for Intel 440BX Motherboard that has to be "Always On" whenever a power failure happens. I mean when the motherboard in unplugged and then plugged again, it has to automatically power-on. I have hard-coded the CMOS values by using modbin to "On/Always On" in its Power Management option. This trick works for Award v6.0 BIOS, but not in this particular BIOS. Is this a chipset problem? If there is a patch/solution for similar problem, please describe it.
I think that this is not a chipset problem (because I saw some boards on 440BX with this working option), so maybe it is problem of particular BIOS...
BTW, what version of modbin was used and can you give link to board's BIOS?

it's a MSI6163 board.
The modbin that I'm using is version modbin 4.50.77 for award version 4.51 BIOS.
Anyway, I've just checked the BIOS version that I mod and it's an old one, not the most up-to-date. I will try to test all those BIOS versions and see what happens .
yes, that's the one I'm talking about above. I've set this option, but the board would only re-start if it's been unplugged for 1 sec if it's more than 2 sec, it will fail to re-start. Anyway, looking at the log in the link above, it seems that the BIOS version that I'm working on has "power button" problem, so I'll try the latest version and proceed downward if it still failed.
