Hi, I tried to use Modbin6 2.01.02 to make an entry in my Bios visible. These entry, the RAID option for the SATA controller, became hidden with the latest biosupdate, but its still inside the Bios.
Modbin showed me the entry as "non selectable" and it doesnt gave me any error message after changing the entry to "selectable". But unfortunately the modified bios never worked.
I can easily recover my old bios, but i need some help to figure out how to make the changes in a correct way with modbin.
Your motherboard vendor and model?
And give reference to the BIOS, wich you are trying to change.
Jazz, Blues & Rock'n'Roll фарева!
Its an ECS AMD690VM-FMH motherboard, since this is an OEM product for the manufacturer FSC(Fujitsu-Siemens) you will not find an bios on ECS website. Its a bit tricky to get a working direct link from the FSC website, so you should do the following procedure to get to the right place.
open support.fujitsu-siemens.com/com/support/downloads.html
input serial: YSHS001234 (than, selected modell should be "SCALEO PA 2662")
click on go, on next step select flash-bios, thats all
u will see bios version 5.01(its the last with RAID enabled) and 5.13(is the most current one)
Pls, if you are able to change the bios in the right way, can you give me some information about how to do this? Than I can do the next biosupdate by myself.
Thanks in advance
EDIT: I just tried to replace the Fullscreen Logo with cbrom.
cbrom /Logo release
cbrom /Logo newLogo.bmp
After flashing, same result, nothing. No screen, no beep. Only Fan and LED are still working. Is it possible that the Bios from these OEM motherboard is anyhow protected against changing everything?
