Short time ago we talked about the Phoenix ServerBIOS v3.0 from HP's Netserver E40 and how to disable the memory ECC Check.

(The Netserver E40 want not to go on with booting if you use Non-ECC-Memory-Modules.
In this case it just brings an error message and stops the booting process.)


I was able to figure out how/where the module headers in the BIOS file begin.
Furthermore I was able to figure out the compression and to build a small packer/unpacker.

The compression is: LZARI

-the BIOS file
-extracted modules (module header was removed; Now, the modules just contain plain LZARI data)
-LZARI stuff (uncompressors/compressors/sources for LZARI)
-batchfile to uncompress the modules


Questions:
Are you able to remove the ECC check now?

Некоторое время назад мы говорили о Phoenix ServerBIOS v3.0 от HP's Netserver E40 и как отключить проверку ECC памяти.
(Netserver E40 не загружается с не-ECC модулями памяти. В этом случае просто отображается ошибка и процесс загрузки заканчивается)

Я нашел где располагаются заголовки модулей БИОСа.
Более того я смог подгадать тип сжатия и сделать свой распаковщик (запаковщик)

Тип компрессии: LZARI

Он содержит:
- файл БИОСа
- распакованные модули (заголовки вырезаны. Модули теперь содержат только запакованные данные LZARI)
- LZARI (за-/распаковщики/сурцы)
- пакетный файл для распаковки

Не мог бы ты убрать проверку ECC сейчас?
